Preparations at WHF; we hope to open next week at some point. Frantically getting ready for you all. ;-)
Because we are committed to sourcing excellent local meat, we were given a tour of Blake's abattoir this week, not for the faint hearted, but we've selected our first piece of beef, and this cow never left Norfolk!
Thanks Bev @genealityart for bringing our farmshop/butcher alive with your brilliant creations! We're absolutely thrilled! Looking forward to that first sausage now....;-)
Oh to be so relaxed about life - we're trying to open a farmshop here! ;-)
Hopefully, a butcher means more customers so we've optimistically called in the wizard Jon from @lccsltd to put another till in. After all no one likes a Q!
Loving the new WHF uniform, the strawberries will be impressed!
We're enormously proud to announce our new butcher, Steve who will be joining us at the end of May! He started life as a Saturday boy many moons ago, and now there's nothing he doesn't know about sourcing fantastic, local meat. Watch this space, and be sure to give him a cheery hello when you pass him! ;-)- First farmers' Market of 2015: 27th June
We're back with our popular farmers' markets bringing the local producers to you to meet and taste their delicious creations. It's a wonderful day out for all the family, and just so nice to stock the fridge with good honest produce straight from the creator's hands. No nasty supermarkets getting in the way!! - Pizza night and late night picking! 18th June
Due to popular demand, we will open late for picking, pizza and a local ale or two! We have James and his woodfired oven (the ProperPizza Company) coming to make your pizzas in front of you. It promises to be a fun, delicious evening for all ages, not one to miss! ;-) - Craft Market: 13th June
Due to popular demand, we are hosting our first arty/crafty market where stall holders come to us with their home made creations. All sorts of gifts will be on show for you to wander round. It promises to be a fun day supporting local designers, and we have a wonderful line up for you....
Apple blossom is amazing this year!
It's actually starting to look like a butchery.... ;-)
City College helping yesterday make WHF look beautiful....we've got to make the new butcher feel at home!
The new butchery taking shape!
Who doesn't like painting chairs in the sunshine? Thanks to my helpers today. I am optimistically hoping we might have even more bottoms in our cafe this year! ;-)
