Happy birthday to our very own Nicci @thebarnbeautyrooms this weekend. What a lady!
🩷 Always bright and enthusiastic through the adventures of White House Farm, she is an asset to our community and a joy to work with. Together she and Alice have built up their beauty business to what you see today. I love that she always shared the vision and through the struggles of lockdown always stayed positive. It really is the people that make the place. Thank you and happy birthday to a great girl.🎈
If you need pampering or you know someone who does, @thebarnbeauty is the place.
⬅️ She's the babe on the left!

Amazing news! Thank you to our team.
We LOVE coffee, but to make great coffee, you need first class milk. We celebrate our local produce in the form of @nortonsdairy milk; a family run dairy now in its third generation with a small, much loved herd of Swiss Brown cows that enjoy lush grass in Frettenham. They deliver religiously twice a week to ensure we bring you the freshest milk in Norwich.
Every cup of coffee made by our super team of baristas comes to you with 🩷 in our beautiful pottery.
Enjoy Tues to Sat, find your little moment of calm in our café on the farm.

Stray cat on the farm shop roof this morning if anyone locally is looking for it. 🙏🐈
Thank you @whitehousefarmprimary for your wonderful art work and letters for Farmer Oliver and Jacky. They are so appreciated and are a super collation of stories and memories you made at the farm.
Highlights seem to be:
- Grinding the wheat with Farmer Oliver to make flour. 🌾
- Listening to the birds and recording your results.
- Digging up the soil and discovering all sorts.
- Seeing a muntjac peek out during the tour!
But number 1 was running through the field of wheat and there can be no greater feeling than touching the ears of corn at this time of year. 🚜
@countrytrust is the most fantastic charity; we are delighted to work with them as they link local farmers and schools to help children appreciate their surroundings, learn about where food comes from and enjoy nature at its best. Thank you Jacky for all the amazing work you do. Every year, together, we give children memories to last a lifetime. 🙏
The farmer and his wife celebrating twelve married years with family, friends, pets and carrot cake. What a journey! 🪿
Thank you to all the wonderful people that surround us, support us and make this another amazing milestone.. ✨
We are enormously proud to share this article with you. There were so many champion people involved - to you all, thank you. 🙏
Today you can see the farm alive and buzzing with our first market of 2025 showcasing the best of Norfolk's produce.
As always, thank you to EDP 24 for reporting so brilliantly throughout. #community #teamwork
Tomorrow everyone is our first event of 2025. Come and join, 10-3pm. 🪿 🩷
Tomorrow, come and join us!
As we sit and reflect on this sunny Sunday afternoon, we remember, five years on from the start of lockdown. To Borris's solemn words "Stay At Home" as he brought the country to a standstill as part of a 'national effort' to curb the Coronavirus. There were only four reasons to leave the house, the first being 'to buy food.'
Scenes of that first Saturday will stay with us forever as together we scrabbled to adjust. The unprecedented footfall, extraordinary queues snaking around the farmyard as customers waited patiently to stock up their fridges and freezers in anticipation of 'the new normal'. Despite having very young children and no childcare, we felt an overwhelming duty of care to our customers given the extraordinary number of emails and calls, it felt like our responsibility to continue giving so many producers an invaluable route to market. We knew if we pooled our team and resources we could make a real impact and change people's lives for the better. It was an intense time for our family. We forged strong bonds with local suppliers to keep the fresh produce coming. We leant on family members to help, one who set up an online ordering system to help them keep up with demand. We share here some of your notes of encouragement and feedback on their ordering forms, all of which made the exchange more personal and worthwhile. It felt like the businesses that kept fighting through lockdown would be the ones that were match fit when a semblance of normality appeared. There is no feeling like a resounding sense of purpose in your community.
We remember empty supermarket shelves, social distancing, masks, the farmer's traffic light systems to help queuing and the fearful pressure to adapt very quickly. Despite there being an element of danger associated with the front line, we made enormous sacrifices to stay open and keep providing for the community. Through uncertain times, the silver lining was cohesion and an overwhelming sense of community which set us on our path even today. Thank you as always to the many people involved. It was truly a moment none of us will ever forget. Those customers who are still with us today, thank you 🙏🪿
